Yacht delivery with Seaway; we are highly conscientious in every aspect of your yacht delivery. From the outset, we take time with our clients to ensure that we fully understand their expectations and the planning of the trip. The whole trip is organised and planned by us, after consultation with you, therefore it is not necessary for a formal handover from the owner or representative.
Every delivery by Seaway is carried out in the most professional and careful way by a highly experienced and well qualified Skipper. To compliment the skipper, we use regular and experienced crew members and all vessels have a Yachtmaster qualified First Mate. For all deliveries, we would have three crew onboard for safety reasons. However for longer, ocean passages we would have four crew members on board.
Prior to departure, we protect as much as possible vulnerable areas of the interior of the yacht to limit any wear. Throughout the voyage, your boat is sailed / motored conservatively to ensure that any wear and tear is kept to an absolute minimum.
Owners are welcome to join the crew for all delivery trips at any stage. We can provide crew at all levels of experience to assist an owner who would like to skipper the passage themselves.
Throughout the delivery, we keep you up to date and informed as to the progress of your boat.
On completion of the delivery, we complete a log and detailed assessment of the vessel and systems so that owners have a complete and thorough picture of the boat’s condition. This enables you to effect any repairs / modifications as necessary.
Our pricing is as inclusive as possible, covering Skipper and crew costs, travel to and from the yacht, in addition to all necessary charts and almanacs. We can supply Liferafts, EPIRB’s etc. for a small rental fee.
We can arrange Own Boat Tuition for owners who would like instructing in a familiar environment - on their own yacht. Some of our skippers are Cruising or Yachtmaster Instructors and can give you formal training and certification, including the ICC.
We regularly provide a skipper to assist owners and their families, who would prefer someone experienced to take the hard work out of the journey so you can enjoy your trip. For more information regarding this service, please see the Skippering Services page.
In addition to providing Skippers, we can offer a 1st Mate qualified to Yachtmaster standard, who would be able to assist you or your skipper. This is beneficial for example if you require someone reliable and experienced on board for a particular trip, or for maintenance, guardenage or general crew duties.
