Yacht Delivery Holland to Suffolk
The owner of a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40 engaged us to deliver his yacht from Amsterdam to Felixstowe. One of our very good Skippers, Egbert, supported by First Mate Clive and deckhand James did a very good job.
The yacht was in very good order and ready to depart prior to our arrival. After completing our checklist and provisioning done the crew motored out toward Ijmuiden and into the North Sea. Motor sailing a lot of the way due to headwinds, the North Sea was crossed safely. Busy shipping lanes require extra vigilance on deck, of which all was handled well by the team.
New wind farms springing up across the North Sea – not always on sandbanks, make for even more navigation hazards in this stretch of water!
Mooring up in the river Deben, the crew finished their duties and left the yacht on her own swinging mooring.
